The HI 200B is a pH electrode with a Bayonet Neill-Concelma (BNC) connector.

The electrode has a 6 x 10 mm conical tip, and is filled with a viscolene electrolyte. It is a single reference Ag/AgCl electrode, with an open junction to prevent clogging. It has a single reference Ag/AgCl electrode, with a single junction, and the body of the electrode is constructed of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) for durability.

The electrode has a range of 0 to 12 pH, 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F) and maximum pressure is 0.1 bar. It comes with a coaxial 1 m (3.3’) cable. Dimensions are 6 mm (tip width) by 10 mm (tip length) by 75 mm (length).

pH electrodes are used for measuring the pH of a substance. They are often constructed of glass, which senses hydrogen ions, and generates a millivoltage that is picked up by the filling solution and transferred to a wire that connects to the pH meter.

The Hanna Instruments HI 9124 is a handheld waterproof pH, and temperature meter for measuring the acidity or alkalinity of a substance.

The meter features a large, easy-to-read, dual-level LCD screen, with a graphical interface that provides on-screen calibration instructions. Temperature compensation and pH calibration are automatic, with five memorized buffer values (pH 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18 and 10.01).

The HI 9124 has a range of -2.00 to16.00 pH (+ or - 0.01) with a resolution of 0.01 pH. Temperature range is -20.0 to 120.0 degrees C/-4.0 degrees F to 248.0 degrees F (+ or - 0.4 degrees C /+ or - 0.8 degrees F) with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C/0.1 degrees F. Input impedance is 1012 Ohm, and the meter operates using four 1.5V AAA batteries (sold separately).

The HI 2550 is a microprocessor based pH, ORP, Conductivity (EC), TDS, NaCl, and Temperature Bench Meter. Relative mV feature is also provided. pH measurements are compensated for temperature effect manually or automatically with the HI 7662 temperature probe. Up to a five-point pH calibration can be performed using seven standard buffers and two custom buffers. A calibration due alarm can be set to alert the user that too much time has elapsed since the last pH calibration. Conductivity and TDS features auto-ranging, which automatically selects the scale with the highest resolution. Conductivity measurements are compensated for temperature manually or automatically with a temperature sensor located inside the probe. The temperature coefficient is user selectable. Temperature compensation can be disabled to measure actual conductivity. The GLP feature provides data consistency. Data can be stored in the meters memory for later retrieval. The meters memory can hold 200 manually logged points and 500 lot logging points. An USB connection ensures communication with a PC.

The Hanna Instruments HI 99163N is a portable, waterproof, hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) compliant pH and temperature meter designed for use in the meat processing industry, is supplied with the FC 232D combination pH and temperature probe and the FC 099 conical tip with stainless penetration blade. The FC 232 D probe features a cleanable polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) body, and has a diffusion prevention sleeve to protect it from clogging in viscous liquids, with a viscolene electrolyte that is designed to be safe for food applications. The probe has a DIN connector and 1 m (3.3’) cable for reaching test sites.

The HI 99163N meter features a large multi-level LCD screen, and automatic temperature compensation (ATC) from 0 to 60 degrees C (32 to 140 degrees F). A battery percent displays at startup, an auto off function after 8 minutes, and the battery error protection system (BEPS) helps to prevent inaccurate readings. The meter comes with (3) AAA 1.5 V batteries that provide approximately 1200 hours of continuous use. Calibration is automatic at one or two points, and starter calibration and cleaning sachets are included.

pH range is -2.00 to 16.00 (+ or - 0.02pH) with a resolution of 0.01 pH. The HI 991401 pH/Temperature meter is a waterproof device designed specifically for measuring pH and temperature in hydroponics, and agricultural applications.

Featuring a large easy-to-read LCD screen, automatic temperature compensation, and automatic calibration (at one or two points with two sets of memorized buffers), the tester provides fast and accurate pH and temperature readings. The HI 991401 also features a non-clogging pH electrode which was designed specifically to work in fertilizer solutions with high concentrations of phosphate and nitrate. A hold function allows the user to freeze the display to record results.

The HI 991401 tester measures temperatures of 0.0 to 60.0 degrees C (32 to 140 degrees F) + or - 0.5 degrees C (+ or - 1 degrees F)/RH max 95% (+ or - 0.1 degrees C /0.1 degrees F), and has a range of 0.0 to 14.0 pH (+ or - 0.1) with a resolution of 0.1 pH. Power is supplied through a 12-Vdc power adapter and the device has an input impedance of 1E12 Ohm. At 160 x 105 x 31 mm (6.3 x 4.1 x 1.2") and 190 g (6.7 oz.), the 991401 provides a conveniently sized meter for taking measurements in the field.

The HI 98204 is a portable waterproof meter that measures pH, oxidation reduction potential (ORP), and electroconductivity (EC) all in one device.

The meter features a large LCD screen and a VALOX body for use both outside and in the lab. pH calibration is manual at two points, conductivity calibration is manual at one point, and ORP and temperature are factory calibrated. After calibration, fill the device with the sample liquid and press “range” to take a reading.

pH range is 0.0 to 14.00 (+ or - 0.2 pH) with a resolution of 0.1 pH. Temperature range is 0.0 to 60.0 degrees C + or – 1 degree C with a resolution of 0.1 degree C. The Hanna Instruments HI 96801 is a portable, waterproof meter that measures the refractive index of samples in order to display sugar content in a substance, displaying results within seconds.

To take a reading, the sample well must be calibrated with distilled or deionized water, followed by a few drops of the sample liquid. A dual-level LCD screen displays the measurement and temperature within several seconds. The meter converts the refractive index of the sample to sucrose concentration in units of percent by weight (%Brix, also referred to as degrees Brix).

The single 9V battery-operated device has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), and automatically powers off after three minutes of non-use. The meter has 3-point calibration (0, 10, and 500 FTU), uses an infrared LED as a light source, and automatically shuts off after five minutes of non-use. The device operates on four 1.5V AA batteries.

The meter features a large LCD screen, automatic temperature compensation (ATC) or manual compensation, an outside of calibration range warning, and the Hanna Cal-Check function to assure the device is properly calibrated. Calibration is five-point, with five custom and seven standard buffers (1.68, 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18, 10.01, 12.45) and an on-screen step-by-step calibration tutorial.

pH range is -2.0 to 20.0; -2.00 to 20.00; -2.000 to 20.000 pH (+ or - 0.01 pH; 0.002 pH) with resolution 0.1; 0.01; 0.001 pH. Temperature range is – 20.0 to 120.0 degrees C + or - 0.4 degrees C with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C. ORP range is + or - 2000 with accuracy + or - 0.2 mV, and resolution 0.1 mV. Power supply is a 12 VDC adapter and input impedance is 1E12 Ohm. Dimensions are 235 x 207 x 110 mm (9.2 x 8.14 x 4.33") with weight 1.8 kg (4.1 lbs.).

The HI 9813-5N Waterproof pH/EC/TDS Meter is a multi-parameter pH meter designed for agricultural applications such as hydroponics, greenhouses, farming, and nurseries.

Featuring a large, easy-to-read LCD screen, the tester provides fast and accurate pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS) and temperature readings in a single, portable waterproof device. Calibration is simplified with calibration dials and instructions located on the front of the device. The HI 9828/10 is a multi-parameter meter capable of measuring 12 different water quality parameters including pH, electro-conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP), dissolved oxygen (DO), atmospheric pressure, resistivity, salinity, seawater specific gravity, and temperature.

The HI meter is capable of holding up to 60,000 samples with 12 measurements each and has graphing capabilities. The meter has a calibration check feature that verifies probe functionality, and a Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) function that recalls the last five calibrations. It also features a backlit LCD to reduce glare, auto-recognition of the attached probe, and a USB connection for downloading data to Windows. The meter can operate on alkaline or rechargeable batteries and also includes a 12VDC power adapter for periods of prolonged use.

With the Hanna Instruments Fast Tracker Tag Identification System and internal GPS, test logging is simplified by placing iButton tags containing a stainless steel-encased computer chip with a unique identification code at various sampling sites. iButton tags can be screwed into place at various sites, and read by touching the meter to the tag to record location, date, time and water quality measurements at tagged locations.

The HI 9813-6N waterproof multiparameter meter measures pH, electroconductivity (EC), and total dissolved solids (TDS), making it suitable for designed specifically for agricultural applications such as hydroponics, greenhouses, farming and nurseries. The HI 9813-6N comes with a HI 1285-6 combination probe with DIN connector and 1 m/3.3 ft. cable, a starter set of calibration and cleaning solution sachets, a check solution sachet, a 9V battery and instructions. The attached HI 1285-6 polyprolylene probe features a fiber junction and gel electrolyte.

The meter has a calibration check function (Cal-Check) to validate instrument performance and an LCD screen. If the meter is calibrated, a message will indicate “Probe is OK,” but if the meter needs cleaning the device will direct the user to “Clean Probe and Calibrate.”

The HI 9813-6N tester functions in temperatures of 0.0 to 60.0 degrees C, and has a range of pH 0.0 to 14.0 (+ or - 0.1 pH) with a resolution of 0.1 pH. For EC, the device has a range of 0.00 to 4.00 mS/cm (+ or - 2% F.S. mS/cm) and a resolution of 0.01 mS/cm. For TDS, the device has a range of 0 to 1999 ppm (mg/L) (+ or - 2% F.S. ppm) and a resolution of 1 ppm (mg/L). Dimensions are 144.6 x 79.5 x 37 mm/5.7 x 3.1 x 1.5 inches (H x W x D) with a weight of 230 g (8.1 oz.). The 991301N measures pH, electro-conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and temperature in a single portable, waterproof meter.

pH Calibration is automatic at one or two points, with two sets of memorized buffer values (pH 4.01/7.01/10.01 or 4.01/6.86/9.18). EC and TDS calibration are automatic at one point, at 6.44 ppt (CONV 0.5), 9.02 ppt (CONV 0.7) and 12880 uS/cm. The meter automatically compensates for the effects of temperature (ATC) when taking pH and EC/TDS readings, so additional measurements and manual temperature entries are unnecessary.

The meter has a temperatures range of 0.0 to 60.0 degrees C/32.0 to 140.0 degrees F (+ or - 0.1 degrees C or F), and has a pH range of 0.00 to 14.00 (+ or - 0.01pH). EC range is 0.00 to 20.00 mS/cm, TDS range is 0.00 to 10.00 ppt (g/L) (+ or - 2% F.S), with respective resolutions 0.01 mS/cm and 0.01 ppt. The HI 721 bridges the gap between less accurate chemical test kits, and expensive professional test instrumentation. The HI 721 operates using a silicon photocell light detector, and has an accuracy of + or - 0.04 ppm or + or - 2% of reading at 25 degrees C, using an adaptation of Standard Method 3500-Fe B. To use, zero the instrument with your water sample, then add the reagent. Place the vial into the checker, press the button, and read the results within seconds. The reaction between the reagent and iron within the water causes an orange tint in the sample.

The HI 721 operates in temperatures from 0 to 50 degrees C (32 to 122 degrees F)/RH max 95% non-condensing with a range of 0.00 to 5.00 ppm (mg/L). The Hanna Instruments HI 9811-5N is a waterproof multi-parameter meter for measuring electro-conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), pH, and temperature all in one device.

The meter features a large LCD screen for readability, and automatic temperature compensation to eliminate the need for additional calculations. The meter can be calibrated at one point for pH, EC or TDS.

pH range is 0.0 to 14.0 pH, + or - 0.1 pH, with resolution 0.1 pH. EC range is 0 to 6000 uS/cm + or - 2% F.S. with resolution 10 uS/cm. TDS range is 0 to 3000 ppm (mg/L) + or - 2% F.S. with resolution 10 ppm (mg/L).Temperature range is 0.0 to 70.0°C, + or - 1 degree C, with resolution 0 degree C. Dimensions are 144.6 x 79.5 x 37 mm (5.7 x 3.1 x 1.5”) and weighs 230 g (8.1 oz.).

Conductivity meters are used for measuring the electro-conductivity of a solution. They are commonly used in hydroponics, aquaculture, and research to measure the amount of salts or other compounds present in water.

The HI 99121N is a portable, waterproof pH and temperature meter that comes with the HI 1292D pH electrode for measuring diluted soil samples or soil directly, and features a large LCD screen, automatic temperature compensation (ATC), a hold function to freeze and record results, and a battery error protection system (BEPS) to reduce inaccurate readings. The meter comes with the HI 1292D electrode, which has a sturdy conical tip that can be directly inserted in soft soil, and the HI 721319 plastic soil auger for perforating harder soil.

The meter features on-screen tutorial messages to assist with calibration, which is automatic at one or two points. The HI 99121N comes with (3) AAA 1.5 V batteries that provide approximately 1200 hours of continuous use (an auto off function shuts the meter off after 8 minutes of non-use). A 100 mL beaker and starter buffer, cleaning and soil preparation sachets are included.

HI 9812-5N is a pH/EC/TDS waterproof meters designed for simplicity in taking pH, μS/cm, ppm (mg/L) and temperature measurements. The HI 96811 Digital Refractometer is a portable meter measuring the refractive index of samples in order to display sugar content, displaying results within seconds.

To take a reading, the sample well must be calibrated with distilled or deionized water, followed by a few drops of the sample liquid. A dual-level LCD screen displays the measurement and temperature within several seconds. The HI 96811 converts the refractive index of the sample to sucrose concentration in units of percent by weight (%Brix, also referred to as degrees Brix).

The single 9V battery operated device has Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC), and automatically powers off after three minutes of non-use. The HI 96811 has a range of 0 to 50 %Brix/0 to 80 degrees C (32 to 176 degrees F) with accuracy + or - 0.2 %Brix / + or - 0.3 degrees C (+ or -0.5 degrees F) and a resolution of 0.1 %Brix/0.1 degrees C (0.1 degrees F). It’s dimensions are 19.2(W) x 10.2(D) x 6.7(H) cm, with a mass of 420 g.

Hanna manufactures additional refractometers which measure sugar content in units such as degrees Baumé, degrees Oechsle, degrees KMW (utilized in the Austrian, German, and Swiss winemaking industries) and measure percent alcohol.

Hanna Instruments HI 99151 Portable Waterproof pH and Temperature Meter for Beer review

The HI 99151 is a portable waterproof pH meter for both indoor and outdoor use.

The meter features a large LCD screen, automatic temperature compensation (ATC), a hold function to freeze and record results, and a battery error protection system to help prevent inaccurate readings. Calibration is automatic at one or two points, and calibration sachets are included.

pH range is -2.00 to 16.00 (+ or - 0.1 pH) with a resolution of 0.1 pH. Temperature range is - 5.0 to 105.0 degrees C (23.0 to 221.0 degrees F) + or -0.5 degree C (up to 60 degrees C), + or -1 degrees C (outside); + or -1.0 degrees F (up to 140 degrees F), + or -2 degrees F (outside), + or -1 degrees F (up to 140 degrees F) + or -2 degrees F (outside) with a resolution of 0.1 degrees C or F. Dimensions are 240 x 182 x 74 mm (9.4 x 7.2 x 2.9”), with weight 1.1 kg (2.4 lb).
